Flood resilience policy dictates how people will be affected by flooding disasters. However, the structure on which it’s built may not be equitable. For example, bad flood resilience policy may not give renters access to flood insurance, or it might not compensate victims fairly and relocate them to a bad place. To counter this, advocacy will need to be done to ensure that system change occurs and everyone can get what they need. This is why Flood Resilience Policy Advocacy is so important.
