“Why do we need dedicated infrastructure to pump water?”

As a fluid, water needs pressure to move from one place to another. For industrial usages, this means that a large amount of pressure may be necessary to achieve this. One mechanism is through Pumping Stations, or facilities that use mechanical pumps to transport water from one place to the next.
