Precipitation builds up and collects volume over time. Eventually, it will need to be filtered out and drained into a common outlet. This usually ends up in Drainage Basins such as rivers, bays, or other bodies of water. Drainage basins are a vital part of the water systems of the world and without them life would not flourish.
