Oftentimes, climate adaptation financing goes to people who have no lived experience as a refugee. While these people can do great work, they will be unable to relate to the people they work for on a personal level. Climate adaptation professionals who are or have been refugees themselves could fuse their lived experience into their work, and make more appropriate solutions.
