Managed retreat is going to become more and more important with the advent of climate change. However, not all community members will want to retreat even when it seems like it’s all but necessary. That can be changed by coaxing with Managed Retreat Enticement, in which people are given rewards for entering managed retreat programs such as new subsidized housing or direct cash payments.
