“What are intensive green roofs and what are their benefits?”

Green roofs come in all shapes and sizes. However, the most heavy ones, Intensive Green Roofs, have a few particular qualities. Almost anything can be planted on an intensive green roof provided there is enough infrastructure to support it. They can be practically lawns in the sky, with complete vegetation and the biodiversity/stormwater runoff benefits it brings. However, they also often require complete irrigation systems to function.
