“Why should the U.S Land Grant Universities Pay Reparations?”
The U.S Land Grant Universities’ endowments were created by being granted land stolen by indigenous people to use as seed funding. The rightful owners of the land were given little-to-no compensation and many were thrust into generational poverty that they still suffer from. Since this action kick-started these schools (who now often have massive endowments), it’s only fitting that the U.S Land Grant Universities Should Pay Reparations.
